It can be a struggle to add healthy food to your child's diet. Kids are picky eaters. One day they love blueberries, the next day it's "icky!". Superfoods are nutrient-rich and help boosts your growing child's immune system. Healthy habits start young so here are some fun, creative ways to get your kids eating right.
1) Oatmeal
Oatmeal is rich in fiber and digests slowly, so it helps keeps kids energy up throughout the day.
2) Blueberries
Or as Baby D likes to call it "booberries" are packed with antioxidants and considered one of the healthiest fruits.
3) Avocados
Avocados contain a lot of fiber, protein and the good kind of fat that helps kids absorb other nutrients.
4) Salmon
Salmon is a major anti-inflammatory and contains omega-3 fats, which are also known to boost brain development. Wild salmon has lower mercury levels than farm raised salmon.
5) Eggs
Eggs are high in protein, vitamin D and make a great snack in addition to breakfast.
6) Low-Fat Greek Yogurt
Greek Yogurt has probiotics (healthy bacteria) known to boost immunity and help digestion. It actually has three times the amount of protein and less sugar than regular yogurt.
7) Spinach
Spinach is packed with iron, zinc, vitamin A, C & K. Known to improve eyesight and brain function.
8) Broccoli
Broccoli is full of vitamin A, C & K and high in fiber.
9) Apples
Apples are high in Vitamin C, potassium and antioxidants.
10) Brown Rice
High in fiber and magnesium for heart health.

My son called broccoli "trees" and he loved it. This is the cutest food I ever saw! I wish I had had time to make my kid's food this cute.

I love all the creative food pics! I was never that good at doing fun things with my kid's food! My kids all love fruits and veggies, but no one likes salmon. :( Well except my husband and I.
